What do they use to learn?
In the class students learn by using textbooks. The textbooks have a lot of info covering Canadas history, ww1, ww2, the russian revolution to technology and inventions. The teacher [Mr. Publico] uses the projector to show notes, slides or videos with a lot of information on them. Students also learn by doing an online quizzes like kahoot. They can also use Moodle for any notes,or worksheets they haven't got or missed.
In english 10 class, students have been learning and reading short stories and practicing how to write good paragraphs. The students review each question then answer them. By doin so it helps the student understand the characters, plot and theme. The student also has to collect evidence for the story to prove there knowing of the book. One of the more recent stories they read was the cold equation. Students have a short project about writing an alternate ending for one of the story's. The ending must be at least one page long, also they must try to copy the authors writing style by reviewing the past text.
There are a lot of English teachers in the school, many of them teach multiple subjects. The teacher who only teaches english is Ms. Berda. Other teachers that teach 2 subjects are Ms. Calaciura, Ms. Cheng, Ms. Komad, Ms. Mashkoor, Ms.
O'Leary and finally Mr. Pablico
In english 10, students learn by a combination of notes, worksheets and stories. The students read the stories then usually get a worksheet to show their knowledge of the subject. The wokrsheets help students with grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary. The notes can help note taking and the understanding of the topic. The storys can help comprehension, grammar and vocabulary
